Hello Jahnavi, As per your qualifications you are eligible to appear for the UGC NET Exam for English subject. But Jahnavi, pursuing the Masters is not the only eligibility criteria to appear in the UGC NET Exam. You must fulfil other eligibility criteria too. They are:
1. Age criteria:
The eligibility of the age is divided into two parts; first for the post of an Assistant Professor and the other one is for JRF candidates. The maximum age limit for JRF is 30 years and there is no age limit for an Assistant Professor.
2. Educational Qualification:
Jahnavi as you are perusing your Masters you are eligible but on the same side, you must score minimum 55% without rounding off. Eligibility criteria- Candidates who wish to secure admission in event management courses offered at colleges/universities at the UG level should have cleared their 10+2 from a recognized institute with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Most colleges also specify that candidates need to be fluent in Hindi as well as English if they wish to pursue event management course. On the other hand, in order to be eligible to secure admission in PG courses offered in the field of event management aspirants should be graduates from recognized institutes such that they have received passing marks at the graduation level. General Academic Qualifications for admission to Engineering/Pharmacy Courses are defined below:
For Engineering: Passed class 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subjects. For Pharmacy: Passed class 12th examination with Physics and Chemistry along with any one of Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application as compulsory subjects. Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/OBC-C/PwD in all the 3 subjects taken together. Passed English in class 10+2 exam with at least 30% marks. The board of the said qualifying exam must be recognized either by Central Government or State Government. All the best for your future.
