In order to bs in mech engg in Canada you need to have completed your 12th with 70% aggregate and you need to write ielts or toefl for your English language skills. These are the basic perquisites needed to get admission, if this is fulfilled then you can get admission then apply for visa and then you would be allowed to work part time off campus depending on which college you go to. There is a restriction as to the number of hours you can do part time in Canada.

- You need to complete 12th with minimum 60% (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry) from recognized board to join good college. However, they are colleges which take students who have scored 45% - 50%.

Preparation for IAS requires combination of smartness and hard work. Do the right things to gain an edge over your competition:
*Get the right books for Prelims
*Start preparing at least 10 months before
*Solve past year questions to test yourself on regular basis
*Cover the scoring sections early
*Cover the syllabus strategically. Don't go for a "prepare all" approach for IAS prelims
*Balance paper 1 and 2
I would also suggest you to spend quality time everyday by reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. You may also refer the books below:
Indian Politics by Lakshmikanth
Ancient History by D.D.Kausambi's
R.S.Agarwal [Arithmetic]
