The best way of doing this, is to gather information on important parameters such as recognition of the institute; course content; calibre of the faculty; structure of the course; infrastructure of the institute; the type of projects, research work or internships done by previous batches; the institute's tie-up or affiliations with the industry; placement record (where students from previous batches have got placed, what percentage were placed through on-campus placements, whether the college provides any guarantees on placements, what are the average starting salaries) etc. There are many sources of information for the above parameters, such as reviewing the institute's website, getting feedback from the industry, speaking to a faculty member from the institute, however the best way for getting the above information is to speak to current and past students who have done the course from that
institute.
