40 is too low a score to secure a seat in a government reputed college. However, you may appear for other entrance exams and secure a seat in a reputed institution.
Other than JEE, you may choose to write the below mentioned entrances:
Students appear for different Engineering Entrance Exams like:
1. VITEEE
2. BITSAT
3. MU OET
4. SRMEEE
5. UPTU and many more at the state level and institute specific.

Congratulations!
There is definitely a big difference in the curriculum between MBA and PGDM. PGDM is a semester patter and MBA is a trimester pattern. Moreover, the teaching orientation for PGDM will be more of application based than MBA. Apart from that the facilities, placements,interms hips and trainings are all same and not at all biased.

Admissions happen only once is a year for SIBM Pune. There is a process which is to be followed to be part of admission process. SNAP exam -> GD/WAT-PI -> round -> final merit list & waitlist. Session usually starts 1st week of June

Each IIM has a different selection criteria. The weightage given to different component also varies across IIMs. IIM Bangalore has significantly different critieria than IIM Indore. Therefore your profile suited to IIM Bangalore's criteria while not to that of Indore.

I would like you to places specify your state and city of interest wherein you would like to do the degree, so that we can be specific in our approach.
Also, provide whether you would like to do a bachelor's degree or master's or a diploma.
While selecting the best, you need to check some of the important parameters such as recognition, year of establishment, batch size, syllabus, faculty, fees, placements etc.

Dear Raghav, every year average package in Finace depends on the market forces as well as demand, but it always remains at 4 Lacs per annum from quite a few years. Maximum last year was 9 Lacs/PA and Average was 4.5.
