To be absolutely true about your query let me give you an example of our batch (2014-16). There only around 4 students who have opted the HR specialization. and they were very much worried about their placements as there almost no vacancies for HRs in Kolkata, also opportunities are very less even out of West Bengal.But it turned out on a certain Saturday regular Corporate class at BIBS: two of the HR guys were picked up by the HR of ITC Mr. Niloy Bhowmik while the session was still going.in fact one of them were directly recruited to ITC then and there as a junior HR even without any personal Interview .and he was the very first student from our college to be recruited this year.So when you are taking HR and studying in a tier III college its entirely dependent upon your hard work and a little luck!.
Yes but this is also true that it requires a little extra effort to get a good job in HR from any college in Kolkata including BIBS.In terms of Faculty BIBS has a great faculty and our academic head himself is very passionate and experienced person in the field of HR .so it will be great in terms academics in HR at BIBS.but placements you'll be needing a little luck .

Career options for students who have finished their graduation in history are quite high. You can go for advanced studies or get jobs. If you would like to pursue your studies, go for Master’s degree in the same field. You can also appear for the UPSC or the state wide PSC tests. You can also appear for the SSC tests. In case, you wish to get into teaching profession, get the B.Ed (after BA) or M.Ed (after MA) degree and apply for teacher or lecturer positions.
Many other job options are available too. A few include:

Information Managers
Librarians
Politician
Public Relations officer
Records Managers
You can even consider a course among the following options-
