The Common Proficiency Test is an entry level test i.e. the first level at which a student starts pursuing their Chartered Accountancy qualification.
It is a test of four subjects— Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude.
You can prepare by going for tuition or coaching. Another option is to practice with mock question papers. These will be available from all leading book stores. By doing this, you will get a clear idea about the exam syllabus and pattern. When appearing for the interview, you must make sure that they answer correctly. Taking some time for answering each question will also be a good idea.
