Dear Suraj,
Usually admissions to most of the engineering colleges are through entrance examinations. The eligibility for the same is mentioned below.
For admission in a bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as physics, maths and chemistry. For IITs, It is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E). The duration for the course is 4 years.

HI,Yes its a good Institute .college is really good ,placements are also good .Also they are good I ranking of engineering colleges.
So in my opinion its a good college then you can go for it. As manipal is relatively new institute so their alumni network is not so strong and that affect the brand image of any institute .
so don't worry your 50 lakhs not worth .
