Hi,
I would say that whichever college you studying, would surely assist you with companies for your training as OJT (On-the-job-training) is a mandatory part of curriculum for all professional programs.
Apart from the assistance that your college might provide, I would suggest you to keep a track of IT companies and also regularly make individual efforts so as not to loose in the end. Well there are good number of IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Cisco, HCL, Satyam and many more that take students for training process.

Hi,
As per your query, I would suggest that while preparing for CAT, your emphasis should be more on accuracy, rather than on number of question attempted.
However, it is equally important to maintain a good speed as well to answer the questions correctly.
Feel free to discuss more.
