Another option is to practice with mock question papers. These will be available from all leading book stores. By doing this, you will get a clear idea about the exam syllabus and pattern. When appearing for the interview, you must make sure that they answer correctly. Taking some time for answering each question will also be a good idea.

While selecting the best institute, please do not forget to check the recognition, success rate, how old the institute is, course details, alumni feedback, fees, etc.

Please relax. Keeping your concern in mind, I would say that no doubt regular courses are more preferable over distance courses. BUT, if you are working or pursuing some other course along side or any other reason and you are not able to devote time to regular course then you may go for correspondence study mode. The type of study mode entirely depends on your interest and time availability.
Always remember, getting a job entirely depends on your communication skills, good domain knowledge, capabilities, utilization of skills, presence of mind, etc.
