It depends a lot on the college. For eg. MBA from an IIM will clearly hold more value. In addition to that, MBA is a more widely recognised course.

You can go for B.Sc followed by Ph.D. You can also try to clear JRF ET after completing M.Sc. If you are interested in engineering or medical sciences, then you can opt for medicine/ engineering, and then you can go for research in the same.
