M.Sc Environmental Biology:
After passing the course, they have many opportunities for employment include central and state governmental laboratories, private environmental consulting companies, pharmaceutical industry, food production, food safety and clinical laboratories in the healthcare industry.
They are prepared to be productive team members in a variety of settings including microbial ecology, soil microbiology, environmental microbiology and plant pathology.
They can also jobs in industry; here they work as producing products such as alcoholic beverages, amino acids, citric acids, Vitamin C and antibiotics etc. with the help of micro-organisms.
After passing the course, they can become teachers and lecturer; but for permanent lectureship they have to pass UGC-NET exam.
M.sc in food microbiology:
M.Sc degree in food microbiology offers good opportunities in the field of agricultural firms, food processing firms and pharmaceutical firms etc. In food processing firms the candidates can work as food technologists, where as in agricultural firms the candidates can work as agricultural microbiologists for numerous research purposes. There are few pharmaceutical firms that employ M.Sc microbiology graduates as microbiologists are Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Reddy's, Ranbaxy, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Wockhardt Limited, Shantha Biotech, Cipla and Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited. These candidates can also work in private hospitals and research institute.

Ishan, There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. You can be a story writer who writes for live and animated screens or even roll the story into a video/ pc game. you can be a script writer who would stop at nothing to give wonderful scene setups to bring the story to life. you could be an artist who designs characters or who storyboards the film for live or animated performance. you can also double up as a voice over artist who gives his/ her voice to the characters or dub for movie stars, or even be a radio star. you can alternatively look at web for a web of careers in web design, online marketing, search engine optimization, content writing, social media promoting. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world & hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers.
