Student has an Automobile club under Society of Automobiles India, Under which the teams has participated in various competitions by making there vehicle in Supra SAE (Student Formula CAR), Baja SAE India, BAJA SAE USA, Efficycle Organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. Team of young & motivated engineers work to build Formula Car and concept Cars and also represent Lovely Professional University at National and International Design competitions such as BAJA SAEINDIA, BAJA SAE UTEP (TEXAS), Formula USA, FORMULA SAEIndia, and Showcase their creativity and technical skills The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The Department has to its credit more than 100 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference.
