Honestly, you loose a great many opportunities in your life because of the 10% in 12th Boards. But I guess you already know that, so I'll put a better solution in front of you, join a college any of them it doesn't matter.
Re write 2-3 subjects you have a big space to improve, next year you'll get the subject marks improved of same, so there is no point of loosing anything just a gain scope.
Don't choose a lot of subject, only which you will be able to score better. It is perfectly fine, you'll not waste any time in degrees and will get a more than 60% which is the barrier.
And don't take a distance learning course so early in

The name has been changed from MIT to MITWPU, but the quality remains the same. The quality is going to increase day by day irrespective of name they changed. So, it's good option to opt MIT since they have a good academics and placements record.

Hi, I think I have already answered your question. If it is for mass communication, there are various other colleges and institutions to pursue the same. If you have to choose between these two only, go for Amity University, Kolkata and not NIU. All the best.

Hi Avirupa, Go for Amity University Kolkata as it is much better than NIU, Greater Noida. NIU is just another 'big name and no game' university. The university fakes its placements and other facilities. They have no facilities and faculty in the campus. Do not fell in the trap of this university. All the best.
