I don't have any idea about IPU.
If your son has 112 marks in JEE having general category, then he might not get any good NITs easily.
He can go for other private colleges.

Although you love banking jobs, there are many roles in a bank. For example, if you want investment banker role, you will have to get an MBA degree from the top 10 colleges. But, if you want a desk job role, an MBA isn't necessary as such.

Beginner-Level 5

You have scored a very good rank so you can get almost every college except Jadavpur. But anyway, I will not suggest you to go into any other government college as their condition is really bad (placements, infrastructure, faculty members). So, I will suggest you to go for IEM.

There are books that covers question asked chapter wise, go for it. Before and after getting a chapter done in class, coaching, yourself which ever place you learn and can say I studied it properly, come back home take day in weekend and see the questions and figure out like 10-15 points or theorem or formula that the questions in E
