As rightly said by Raja, This Institute is an Autonomous Institute and is not recognized by any of the popular Indian Educational body like UGC/AICTE or DEC. However, to get the most updated information on this Institutes recognition I would suggest you to visit the Institute and try and talk to the head of the institute.
As far as jobs are concerned you can go for Private jobs on the basis of the degree through this institute, however, for government jobs generally you need to have a recognized degree, so you may face a problem getting a government job.

To get into B.Sc (Agriculture) generally the student need to have a Science background with Bio, in case you fulfill this eligibility you definitely can apply to any of the Institutes providing B.Sc in Agriculture. Although, you would not find many Universities giving B.Tech through Distance Learning as, B.Tech is a degree which involves lot of practical work, but few of the Universities which you may try for Correspondence programme are: Centre for Distance Education (Acharya Nagarjuna University), Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. All the good universities in US requires 1300-1400 plus score in GRE, however there are some better universities which accepts the score of 1200 plus.
It is always advisable to take GRE at least a year in advance of your planned admission intake, so that you get enough time to prepare for it.
In order to get maximum score in GRE, you can refer to previous years question papers.
