Being an alumni I would like to share my thoughts on this. As LPU provides remarkable opportunities to the students in the said field. LPU is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, best laboratories, and modern technologies. a) Credit Transfer
Student after successful completion of 2 years. At LPU may be given option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for the completion of programme subject to conditions and norms of regulatory bodies. For requisites and other clauses. B) International Exposure Option
Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions.

B.Sc. in Nautical Science is a 3 years long course that has been divided into 6 semesters, each lasting 6 months. After completion of the course, the candidate should undergo the 1 year long sea service. After the sea service and clearing the subsequent oral examination, the candidate could obtain the second mates Foreign-going Certificate of Competency. This certificate will enable one to hold the post of Navigation Officer on Merchant Navy ships.
Even after landing such a post, one could climb up the career ladder. After 18 months of sea service as a Navigation Officer, and clearing the written and oral examinations, one could obtain the first mates Foreign-going certificate of competency.
After 12 months of Sea Service as the Chief Mate and upon clearing the written as well as oral examinations, one could obtain the Masters Foreign-going certificate of competency.
