Before answering this question i would first suggest you to think about your decision once again, as mechanical and electrical engineering deals in design, analysis, construction and maintenance of various machine systems so it will be a change of field for you.
Though scope will increase in automation and automobile etc. in which study of both the discipline of science is required from a person.

*B.A. L.L.B: This is a 5-year course and the students can pursue this course after passing Class 12.

I cannot assure the exact pattern but I can help you with all that you need to prepare. So starting with media I would suggest you to go through the newspapers everyday and make a note of all the good articles or important news that you come across.
You have to mug up the punch lines of various good and famous brands and also their Brand ambassadors, mug up the punch lines of various good news channels because they might ask it.
Also, if possible try and read few books on GK and Current affairs, if you want you can refer to Manorama year Book which is a nice book for GK and Current affairs.
