There is a shortage of serious research astronomers in the country. However, there are also a limited number of institutions that do research in astronomy. All you should try to get your degree under a well-recognised astronomer and you will have a reasonable chance of success.

The eligibility is to have a any Bachelors degree with at least 50%.

If your dream is to become a pilot, it's great. Pilots are expected to be required in large numbers in future. But you don't have to be an aeronautical engineer for this. You simply join a flying school, and at the end of the course, you are a pilot. You need to have PCM in class 12th. That's all.

It's nice know your dreams of doing MS in Canada. The whole process normally takes about one year. I would advise you to contact a local agency dealing with sending students abroad since there are many nuances to this issue & it's perhaps outside the scope.
Your good academic career will definitely get you admission.

The minimum academic qualification required for admission is that the candidate should possess a
PG degree/ PG Diploma recognized by the respective statutory bodies for pursuing research.
The admission is based on the written and oral examinations conducted after the approval of your application by the Chairpersons of the Department Research Coordination Committee (DRCC).
So you need to submit your application and then you will be notified about the other procedures.

To apply for the course, the candidate should have cleared class 10, class 12 / higher secondary Examination with English as one of the subjects. Minimum percentage of marks in class 12 / higher secondary Examination varies from institution to institution but is generally between 50% or 60%.
Students who have appeared in H.S.C. examination and are awaiting results are eligible too.
There are no entrance exams in general but to get a seat at the top ranking colleges you need to clear some entrance exams.

Admissions to undergraduate courses in Australia are not based on any entrance exam but are based on marks obtained in your 12th. I would however advise you to take help from a specialist agency dealing in admissions to Australian universities as they would know all the required nuances.
