Yes, you can apply for Delhi University (DU) courses if you have appeared for improvement exams. In some courses, you need to have more than 50% in 12th grade or higher to be eligible for admission. As a result, some students choose to take an improvement exam in order to improve their percentile. However, your improvement exam results must be cleared before admission is accepted at DU. For example, if the deadline for DU admission is August 30, your upgraded marksheet must be available before that date.

If you were declared a failure in the 12th AHSEC board exams, you will have to reapply for the exam next year. Admission is determined by the college. You can take admission to study 12th grade again, or you can apply for the 12th AHSEC board exams separately. Your college name will appear on your marksheet as NIP instead of the college's (school's) name. You will also be treated as a "private candidate" in the next round of exams. Hence, if you do not need to take admission, you can simply appear in the exam next year.
