Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) does not normalize CAT, XAT, or CMAT scores for admission to its management programs.
XISS uses the scores of these entrance exams to shortlist candidates for the next stage of the selection process, which typically involves a group discussion and a personal interview. The selection process also takes into account the candidate's past academic performance, work experience, and other relevant factors.
Therefore, the scores obtained by the candidates in CAT, XAT, or CMAT exams are considered as raw scores and not normalized scores by XISS. The shortlisting of candidates for the selection process is done based on the cut-off scores or percentile decided by the institute for each exam.

The National Institute of Design entrance test encompasses 3 aptitude tests that carry a minimum of 60 marks. The main intention of this exam is to assess the aptitude, innovation and perception of the applicants. This exam comprises of the following:
Animation, abstract symbolism, composition, knowledge of proportions and perspective, memory drawing, thematic color arrangement & visual design.
Syllabus of the National Institute of Design entrance test is:-
This exam does not have a prescribed syllabus. Students will need to have a very good idea on the topics mentioned below:
Communication skills, composition, creativity, drawing skills, general mental ability, sensitivity to environment & subjects of design
Those students who cleared this written test with good marks shall be notified about the studio test. Following this, a personal interview shall be held.

Eligibility will be a Graduation with 50% and clearance of qualifying entrance examination/equivalent aptitude test as mentioned by the University. The Program is spread across 4 semesters (2 years) within the general Choice Based Credit System throughout university. The percentage of students who get placed every year has been over 90%. Organisations, including multinationals visit the campus and absorb many students through campus selection process.
