You are absolutely right, you don't need to have any certificate to run your own business. MBA is meant to incorporate the skills and knowledge in a person in order to manage business efficiently and effectively. These skills and knowledge, you can learn as your own too. To run any business, one need to know thoroughly about the business in which the person is indulged and the skills needed to do it.
I don't know what business you are in because every business requires different skills. But, I would like to share some general skills which are required in every business and some good sources with the help of which you can gain knowledge and develop skills.
First, you should be very good in communication skills so that you can inform your customers about the products or services your business offer and to be able to convince them properly. When convincing customer mention those good points, which customer is seeking in your product. Try to learn more ways to run a business successfully through reading the best books. For knowing about the right book as per your business requirement take help of google and get the book and read it and apply the skills in your business.
Your attitude should also be pleasant and positive all the time in your business so that you handle the customers and situations calmly. You should try to attend some seminars which focus on upgrading such skills too.
