According to a review by a student, the following conclusions are made:
1. Faculty: 90% of them are fresh out of post graduation from local universities and have zero knowledge and zero experience. Few of the rules are formal shoes, shirt and pants every day, 85%attendance
2. Hostel: you need to have a biometric punch in every 9 am and 9:30 pm or 100 rupee fine.
3. Location: located on the Bangalore - Mysore highway far away from civilization. The nearest mall is half hour by bus.
4. Placements: Disastrous. Out of a batch of about 300, 15 were placed. Only thing Christ University faculty of engineering is good is for its cultural events

The cut-off for different courses depends on the board you opted for in your matriculation. For ISC it was around 80%; for CBSE it was about 85% and for PU about 90%. Hope it helps!

The faculty at Christ are mostly fresh post graduation passout from local universities and have zero knowledge and zero experience. Few of the rules are: a) formal shoes, shirt and pants everyday. B) 85%attendance c) management consists of people in white frocks (fathers) who have little sympathy and are cold hearted. The hostel have a bio-metric punch. There are many (approx 17) specializations for CSE. Like cloud computing, mainframe, BAO, gaming and graphics, IOT and many more. So, they will be more beneficial for you in future. So, it will be your choice of interest which specialization you want to choose.

During my admission time, there is only Vellore and Chennai branch two years ago and these branches are recently opened by VIT. Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well with each category admission fees go high. First category was closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there are 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, but you have to pay more for that.
