BSc (Hons) Nursing is better than GNM as GNM is Diploma only.

For promotion, BSc is preferred and get degree allowances too in government hospitals. Apart from this, one has to do two years post BSc. After GNM, then only they are equivalent to BSc.

The admission mainly depends on JEE examination. To get into NITs, good score in JEE Mains is required. To get into IITs, good score in JEE Advanced is required.

Hi Vicky, After Diploma, you can consider the following options:
You may opt for higher studies in your domain or any other which considers eligibility of Diploma. If you are opting for engineering, you will directly join in the 2nd year. You may undergo one year apprenticeship. There is huge demand for Diploma candidates. You will definitely get a good exposure to industry before getting a job. Look for a job. Demand for Diploma candidates is good. Choose a wise option. Good luck.
