Hi Praveen,
The process varies from IIM to IIM. In general, you have to give CAT exam for all IIMs, which is followed by a shortlisting for GD-PI by all IIMs separately, based on your CAT score and profile.
Final admission is based on your CAT score, profile and performance in GD-PI.

College is good in terms of placements as compared to the competition. In terms of study, the college is strict, you have to minimum benchmark attendance, else you will not be allowed to sit in the internal examinations. Rest the other environment in the college is good. :)
