Hello Sandesh,
Firstly, the admission to engineering in any branch including IT is normally not based on marks of 12th but is based on marks obtained in the concerned CET. So, if you study well and obtain a percentile of 80, you will have bright chances of getting your desired branch.

Coming to the placements at VIT Vellore, it is awesome, and even we got a place in Limca book of records in the latest released records. We get more dream offers that is above six lacs per annum. Mainly for this branch, we'll have an additional benefit of the post graduation degree in the hands, so we had a great chance of placing in good companies. But it creates the problem when all the branches of VIT like Chennai, Bhopal, Amravati are dumped in Vellore for the placements, and you can't say hundred percent placement, but worthy ones will have many opportunities.

The difference between CS and IT varies from college to college so this answer may not be applicable everywhere. One can go on and on about the minute differences in the syllabi but the final conclusion I mostly get is this: CS is mostly about understanding the inner workings and concepts behind programming and computers whereas IT is more about applying these concepts in real life. With regards to the jobs, 95% of the companies that come to the campus do not openly discriminate between CS and IT.

As a student of Lovely Professional University both the university are great at their places. But in my point of view studying in LPU is much better because of their Ranking, education, placement, generation and infrastructure in each component LPU is better. Placement is essential component what applicant can SEE in college/university at the same time as taking admission. So, in lovely professional university from one hundred college students 90-95 students get placement. Specifically in B.Tech, the highest salary package 64lac according to annum and the average salary package 21lacs according to annum. So, in my factor of view its su

Hi Priti,
Yes, you can. The UPSC eligibility criteria want you to be a graduate in any stream. But, do give it a thought why you want to pursue fashion and then become an IAS. It gets quite contradictory.
