Hello Anit,
Normally speaking, all institutions allow students to appear for entrance exam if any, only with the declaration that they have appeared for qualifying exam. However, when it comes to registering for admission post such exam, one definitely needs to have marks sheet of qualifying exam, in your case of 5/6 semester. Problem does not come, if you are seeking admission in same University. But, students of different universities suffer, but then that is life.

Hi Aishwarya,
As you have not mentioned your category, I will assume it to be general and answer. You need to score 95+ percentile in CAT. Although, it is not fixed that you'll get admission in IIMS. It all depends on your CV/resume, how you perform in your interview. All the Best.

Hello Rohit,
It is indeed nice to know that your dream is to work abroad. These days unfortunately almost every country barring few are not allowing people to come in areas where there is enough talent in that country. Hence, I would advise you to approach a placement agency dealing with sending people abroad to know nuances and get job done.

Hello, Aspirant qualifying percentage of marks is 25 percent of the maximum marks, which is considered for ranking marks. There will be no minimum qualifying marks registered by JNTU for those candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST). If you get marks above the qualifying marks you can get a seat in any government-affiliated college.

This is a long one to answer, but I will give it a try. MAT and CAT are really different to their core. The only similarity between these two is that on cracking any one of these, you will end up with an MBA or PGDM. Let me summarize the differences in the following points. Paper Pattern - The MAT paper has 200 questions divided in 5 sections with 40 questions each, whereas the CAT paper has 100 questions divided in 3 sections of 34,32 and 34 questions. MAT has a section called India and Global Environment which is based on GK. However CAT doesn't have a GK section unlike some other management exams. MAT has a negative marking of - 0.2
