Nirupam, among the two options that you have given Mechanical Engineering wold be better. However doing just B.E would not be sufficient for a good career. You must do your MBA soon after completing B.E. and opt for specialization based on thefield for which you have a flair and personal interest. There are also other branches in engineering apart form the two you have mentioned. You can also think of opting for the IT branch or Electronics or even Civil engineering.

In UK MBA is for one year only however its not cheaper in UK in any case you have to shell out GBP 6,000 to 50,000 as a tuition fees depending upon the university or college also for living expenses GBP 7,000 to 9,000 is required as per the living standard of the student.
Also let me tell you must have a good bachelors degree along with min 2 yrs of relevant work experience and as a international student you also require to take IELTS/ TOEFL test to prove your proficiency in english.
