Yes you can definitely proceed further. West Bengal Civil Services Exams are taken for job admissions in a wide number of administrative services under the government of West Bengal.
1. Educational Qualifications eligibility:
There are only two basic educational eligibility criteria for the West Bengal Civil Service Exams (Executive) - a degree of a recognized University and the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali.
2. Criteria Age Bar:
Not below 21 years but not more than 32 years on the 1st January of the year of examination for services and posts included in Group ‘A’,’C’ and ‘D’. For the West Bengal Police Service only (i.e. Group ‘B’ Service) age not below 20 years but not more than 32 years on the 1st January of the year of examination.
3. Exam Structure Question Pattern:
The WBCS Executive Exam Structure is that it is held on two successive stages, the Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) and the Main Examination (Subjective Type), followed by a Personality Test. Candidature for the main examination is determined by the result of the Preliminary Examination. Similarly, the empanelled candidates after the Main Examination are considered for the Personality Test.

*** AMIE stands for Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. A unique program wherein you can attain an engineering degree, if you have lost the opportunity to do so earlier.
*** AMIE is recognized by both Central and State Governments, so if you have passed AMIE then you can appear for jobs which are open for BE degree holders.
After AMIE (Mechanical), you may find employment in :
-SAIL
-NTPC
-Indian Railway
-Automobile Industry (like Tata, Maruti, Hyundai etc.)
-GAIL etc.
After Passing AMIE, you can also appear for IAS or IES Exams, GATE as well as for MBA degree for higher Degrees (all these require minimum qualification of a UG Degree).
