Selecting an institute is purely and entirely your decision. It would be tough to state an institute as the best as every institute has it's own plus and minus points.
While selecting the best institute, you need to check some important parameters such as batch size, syllabus, faculty, fees, placements etc.
Be careful while selecting an institute as merely completing a course is not enough for this competitive world.

With 257 score in EEE branch (General), some of the colleges you may try in :
-Pondicherry Engineering College
-Gautam Buddh Technical University
-Lingaya's Institute of Management and Technology
Generally, every student receives a GATE score which is associated with two points, i.e., valid time period and qualifying marks. Your score is only valid when it is above or equal to the score of qualifying marks.
