One needs to be Masters preferably with first class score to join PhD. PhD from any University is min 3 years program. PhD is research oriented program and with most of universities it does not require regular classes. You can do PhD from Home but you will need to submit synopsis, and research papers time to time, attend viva, seminars, presentations. You can always take a break and continue lat

in my opinion mba would be better option for you if you.
pgdca + M.C.A means 1+3=4 years where as MBA means 2 year + 2 year experience = 4 year and MCA will not guaranty job for you neither MBA it all depends on your interest and talent so choose a field in which you are interested.
choose MCA only if you have interest in computers maths and programming otherwise MBA will be a better option for you :)
