Hello,
For admission to PGDM & PGDM (IB), an applicant must have a valid CAT (Score card of CAT 2015) or valid XAT 2016 score or valid GMAT 2015-16 score and For admission to PGDM (RM) & PGDM (IBM) an applicant must have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score in Bimtech. Around 75 percentile is required for admission in pgdm(core).

You should definitely take it up. The college still remains in the top 20 B-schools list. The placements are great and the student profiles are diverse. We have a 35 batches strong alumni base and the administration is already taking a lot of steps to better the ranking. Its a different world out here.

No. Work experience is not necessary either for appearing for CAT nor for admission. However IIMA encourages you to have work experience before joining. FOr the same they offer deferred admission, which means if you are accepted in 2017 then you can go work for two years and join back without taking CAT again.
In short: you can take CAT when you graduate.

As you had the backlogs due to medical reasons which were beyond your control, you only need to have the medical certificates to back up the same, both, at time of applying for the course and the visa.
