It's not mandatory to have a portfolio when applying for the course, A student can apply for the programme for B. Des in Fashion, interior, and more, It depends on institutes to colleges and universities, generally, there's an entrance process to applying for Designing Courses. Students coming from any 10+2 or graduation discipline from a recognised university, or board with a minimum aggregate of 50%, can appear for any entrance or admission process or any design course. You can also have a look at IILM University, Gurugram. You can appear for IILM University Gurugram's Design Aptitude Test with the Interview Proc

It is just great that you have thought to study B.Arch at IIT.
You should appear for JEE main paper 2 (B.Arch).
Almost all the coaching centers are good. I don't want to mention any coaching center names. If you want to get into any best institute then refer those which produced the toppers in JEE exams this year or the consecutive years.
