Definitely, information technology has a lot of scope if the syllabus kept updated as per the changing environment.
Placement is around 50% for IT branch in Walchand College. In the past total seats, were123 and students placed were 66. If you can find a job on your own, you may opt for that. Also, don't expect a great salary. However, an engineering program is of 4 years so things may change when you complete it

Hello Anubhav,
KIIT is better than Jaypee because of following reasons:
1. Good Infrastructure, in last few years it has improved many folds, good sports facilities, hostel rooms, class rooms, campus etc.
2. Placement is decent (good for CSE/IT), for other branches core companies come in very small number.
3. Bhubaneswar is a clean and cheap city.
4. Weather is good in winters, most likely you won't need warm clothes during winters, but summer is scorching.
I suggest you to go for KIIT.

Hi Kriti,
You can get a scholarship if you are a meritorious student. Yes, even with education loan universities might offer a scholarship if you are brilliant. Your category, however, SC or general has nothing to do with your admissions abroad. So, it's just on merit.
