As compared to MBA.
PGDM is much more flexible in terms of syllabus as syllabus is not bounded by a particular university.
Ideally PGDM program is residential while MBA is not. Fees of PGDM is also high as compared to MBA.

Yes, it but this is not for the lifetime the placements from this college is temporary and after 3 months of job almost 80% of the students gets rejected and after that finding the job is difficult for them.

There are national level entrance exams for MBA other than CAT like XAT-Xavier's aptitude test for admission in Xavier's Labor Reform Institute. Xavier's University-Bhubaneshwar, XIMB Bangalore and XIMJ-Jabalpur are offering MBA in finance and there is NMAT for Narsee Monji-Mumbai which also offers finance and MAT for various B-schools across India.
There are certain state level exams also like MH-CET which can lead you to JBIMS, Mumbai (CEO factory) and other state level exams also.
