Hi Payal,
Changes in the bank exam will make entry to the banks more difficult. Earlier you were required to clear one stage in written exam but now their are two stages.
Since now the process will have two stages - Tier I (the easier one) and Tier II (the tougher one), you should study more holistically. Now, only shortcuts will not suffice, you have to have in-dept knowledge of your subjects. So, start preparing thoroughly. Two stages will ensure that only the best gets in.

Hi Payal,
Major changes in bank entrance exam:
1. Exam will be conducted in two Tiers, this will ensure that there is no randomness in the selection process (person has to qualify on both the stages to reach interview stage).
2. Tier I will be a easier exam and more number of candidates will be qualified in this stage. Difficulty level in tier II will be high. So, by including both kind of papers, it will be ensured that the candidates, who can handle both kinds of situations are qualified.
3. Tier II exam will include bio-metric identification i.e. at the time of entering the exam hall, you will be required to undergo bio-metric identific

Hi Payal,
Preparation of all the bank exams like IBPS,SBI,RBI (Probationary Officer/Clerk/ Specialist Officer) etc. are some what same. Just the difficulty level varies. Like clerk exam is more easy in comparison with Probationary Officer/Specialist Office.
There is no fixed syllabus for such exams. While the broad areas from which questions can be asked are known, no question is generally considered “out-of-syllabus”. You have to keep this in mind and prepare for aptitude tests. However, you can identify the most common areas by solving previous year question papers(or sample papers) and taking sufficient mock tests.

Keeping today's industrial progress in mind the industry is biased only to those with good academic knowledge and practical skill set. I do not see any problem in opting for a career in this field but as for the physical strength is concerned, yes you would require high concentration levels along with physical and mental strength. Also mechanical is a huge engineering domain and is not just restricted to automobiles so one can look for various other options to choose as a career.
Along with your engineering, you can also take up CAD/ CAM courses, you may refer to the following link:
