As individuals, we are expected to know ourselves, as in, what our strengths and weaknesses are. In your case, you have worked for three years, in marketing and then you have done your MBA in HR and IT. First of all, never fudge your resume. All reputed companies, have third party verificartion agencies, to check up on the credentials, of the candidate. If you hide your work experience, there is every possibility, that a colleague of yours may join your organization later, or at some point, in the near future. Your company will come to know about it, and you will get sacked. The world is a very small place. Coming to HR, i hope you have made the right choice, since HR skills, cannot be acquired. You need to have it in you, to be a successful HR professional. Companies will definitely question you about the change in your function, since three years, is a very long period. You can be frank and tell them, you made the wrong choice.

Hi Megha,
Frankly speaking as you have a post graduation in commerce and also done tally 9.0 you should get a decent job. However, as there is a huge gap of 4 years in between you may face some problems as you need to explain this gap to employers. If you are looking for short term courses then you can opt for diploma courses in taxation or accounting etc. but if you are ready to go for long term program then I would suggest you an MBA in Finance.
I would like to add here that it would also depend on which career field you choose. In case you have interest in teaching then you can also appear for NET after which can work as a lecturer in any University or college.
