No doubt, VIT is a very good private university for engineering course. Do not give much weightage to surveys and opinion polls which rank colleges on different parameters as most of them are paid by interested parties. BITS Mesra, GLA university, Sharda University and KIET are some well known names in private sector. Deemed universities are those which have been approved by UGC but are not given any government aid or grants and are mostly privately owned. They need not approve their engineering courses from AICTE, they can have their own entrance test, own syllabus, evaluation system, fees etc. Usually, private institutions, after successfully running few institutes, go for this option as it is hassle free from regulators and has more earning potential.

I am a new guy at this discussion
I have been having a real big research on MBA through correspondenceAnd I have discovered the following points
1. MBA and PGDBA are 2 different programs which have the same weightage in the eye of the corporates. However, the weightage differs in the eyes of the Indian Education System
An MBA is a recognized degree which opens the doors to further qualifications like a Doctorate, etc. A PGDBA does not offer the same. An MBA is a masters degree. However, a PGDBA is merely a professional qualification. An MBA gives you a higher value than a PGDBA. UGC recognised insitutes offer an MBA while the others offer a PGDBA
2. MBA is not offered by correspondence for students who have just completed their graduation (except Manipal University and ICFAI University). These are the only two institutes that offer a Masters degree. Others like Symbiosis, NIBM, IMT, Xaviers, Welingkar, etc offer a PGD only
Further, open universities like IGNOU, KSOU, etc demand a minimum of 3 years work experience to offer an MBA
3. When we do an any course through correspondence, we are doing it to add value to our career and open up the opportunities for life ahead. Thus, an MBA is much deserving qualification than a PGD
4. Please do not compare IIMs here. Because, IIMs are autonomous bodies which have huge huge goodwill and repute. If IIMs are offering PGD doesnt mean any institute offering PGD is good
5. Of ICFAI and Manipal, Manipal will be a better option as the fees is less. Further, Manipal has also got classes of a minimum of 160 hours. This will add a lot of knowledge tooFor those having a minimum of 3 yaers work experience, IGNOU and KSOU will be good choices
6. For those who want to get a promotion in the same organization, Symbiosis will be a better option to add glitter to the resume
I have just completed my BCom and I have almost decided to get started with Manipal University
I welcome all suggestions and guidance in this matter

I can understand that these days whichever institute you visit tends to excite you with the infrastructure, placement commitments etc and the name you have written in your question is a branded institutes, but to be true if i have join any institute i would firstly check with the quality of the training and that could be checked only by meeting the faculties checking there experience, meeting the students personnelly and talking to them about the courses checking with what king of practical experience the institute is providing you with, by the end of the day whenever you would go for the interview firstly the company will check your demo reel and not the name of the institute, they will judge your knowledge and not the recognition that would come on the later stages.
With this answer i am not saying that your don't have to see the recognition etc of the institute but just set your priorities and then decide.
