1. Mechatronics is the combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, control engineering, and systems design engineering in order to design, and manufacture useful products.
2. GATE is an entrance exam for admission to M.Tech. in IITs, NITs and some top engineering colleges.
3. M.Tech. in aerospace is offered by only two Indian institutes, that is, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur. Any B.Tech (ECE, EX, Mech, EI) can join this course.
4. Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, structural disposition, manufacture and application of robots. Robotics is related to the sciences of electronics, engineering, mechanics, mechatronics, and software. M.Tech. in robotics is not a specialization. You can learn to program and assemble small robotic functions/tools/arms as projects of B.Tech or M.Tech.
lastly, statement of @aru is not true that you get managerial post after M.Tech. but it opens door in education, research and scientific sector jobs with higher remuneration compared to B.Tech.

As you are currently in your first year, so right now you should focus on your academics only, in your third year you can join some good institutes for preparation.
Please remember GRE scores along with good academic record are the eligibility criteria to get admission in foreign universities, you academics studies should not be compromised for GRE preparation.
