Yes, MBA degree will certainly help you if you do your MBA from UGC approved and reputed institution. You must choose your specialization subject cleverly such that it either adds up to your work experience or opens new avenues in the fields where you want to work. Specialization in HR will be good for you since you have experience in Admin functions. If part time MBA facilities are not available in your city then perhaps MBA through distance education mode would be better. Part time MBA usually takes 3 years where-as the one through distance education mode takes 2 years. You can also complete it in 18 months from institutes such as SMU which provides a facility for it.

Well I would like to inform you that no notification related to MAY MAT 2012 has been released so far. I believe once the February MAT is successfully conducted, then AIMA would come up with details on their next MAT exam.I would suggest you to constantly keep a check on the official website in order to timely fulfill the procedure. Also for descriptive help, you may make use of the helpline number.
Meanwhile, I can suggest you with few steps:-
*Clear you basic Maths Concepts. The best place to start is the text books for Class 10 or somestudy material provided by an institute. Learn as many formulas as possible and find some shortcuts.
*Work on you vocabulary. Read a lot and observe how a word in used in different contexts.
*Develop the habit of reading. Newspapers, Magazines and TV can be a great help here.
*Reasoning skills can be improved by solving puzzles
*Practice a lot. Solve sets of questions within a time frame. Concentrate on each section and devote equal time.
