Until 2015 GMAT score was used for applying to FMS however it is no longer compulsory today for admission to FMS. You need to have an overall good profile for your application to be considered and you need to apply through your embassy. Yes, IELTS with good marks in academics. The universities does not require any other tests. GMAT or GRE are usually for the top ones.

Hi Sahil,
If you don't have work experience, you should go for MS management. There are universities accepting fresher for MBA, but not top ranked. You had backlogs, which are not preferred by Canadian officials, so if you don't have a strong profile or work experience, then chances are risky.
Your SOP and LOR will also be considered. You can check:
1. Vancouver Island University.
2. Royal Roads University.
3. Simon Fraser.
4. Lakehead.
5. Concordia University, etc.

There is no degree course after which you can become software architect. You are advised to do either B.Tech CSE/IT or MCA and work as software developer for few years to become expert software engineer. After few years of experience as a developer you can join software design team under software architect to learn basics of software architecture. You may also learn by self-study or certification on different architecture frameworks to grow into the role of software architect.

You can select institutes like Indian Institute of Science (IISc) may allow first class B.Sc degree holders to directly take admission in an integrated Ph.D program, if they clear an entrance tests. But usually, one requires completing a Master's degree program in the related science or engineering subject with at least 55% marks and/or do an M.Phil degree program to get admission in the Ph.D program.
