The average package is more or less the same in both marketing as well as in finance.
The only advantage marketing candidates have is the limitless potential for earning incentives, which is limited for finance candidates.
Else, the average package remains the same, around INR 3.00 Lakhs per annum.

Placements for Mechanical Engineering at LPU are generally average to moderate, and very consistent.

Most core mechanical roles are in:

  • Manufacturing and production

  • Quality control

  • Maintenance and operations

  • Automobile component companies

Mass recruiters and some core companies do visit, but competition is there. Students who focus on:

  • Internships in manufacturing plants

  • Software tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA

  • Maintaining a decent CGPA

  • Strong practical knowledge

generally have better chances.

Hello Harshit,
If you are getting a college in Karnataka, then I would advise you to grab the opportunity and get admission there. Your score in JEE Mains is not much for admission.

There is no cg cutoff for branch slide but there is a cg cut off for branch change. You just have to make sure that you pass all your courses in the first semester for a branch change. Branch change and slide happens right after the first year so you need to apply in the first semester itself. For branch change you need to be in the top 3 or 4 class positions after your first semester.
