There are Aeronautical Engineering courses that are controlled by AICTE & hence has to follow all rules there under. Then there are aircraft maintenance courses which trains students on maint of commercial aircraft and these courses are supervised and licensed by DGCA.
Both have enough opportunities and potential.

First congrats on taking mechanical engineering as the optional subject. Get hold of the syllabus. Analyse previous papers to know which topics are more important. Set weekly targets to complete the topics. Use weekends well. Revise once a topic is complete. Once all this is complete give test series.

Candidates appearing for JEE Mains 2017 must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in order to apply. However, for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs & CFTIs candidates must have secured at least 75% of their class 12th board exams (65% for SC/ST students ).
But JEE Mains is over now, try for next year.
