As per the present situation, it seems inevitable. However, there are some reports that an exam like NEET may be introduced for engineering admissions also. Even though it will be boon for students, misplaced political AIMS will not allow this to happen.

It depends which university you are talking about. If it is Delhi University, your percentage will be counted, that too, the first cut-off list is always above 90%. If it is the University of Mumbai, 80 percent would be the minimum cut off. In case of private universities, most of them conduct entrance exam and the admission will be based on the rank.
