If you want to take drop, then you can work on it. But, you have 7k rank in UPSEE and you have a good chances of getting CSE in JSS Noida and AKGEC or KIET and may be core branch in BIET Jhansi. So, take your decision very carefully.

If you are getting a reputed govt. college with this rank in UPSEE then you should take admission in it. No need to prepare for JEE Mains by taking a drop.
Dropping a year after class 12th can only be beneficial when you are sincere and hardworking and have cleared general cut-off in the first attempt.
