The scope for managing things is really growing a lot of projects are coming up in almost every field like public and private section projects such Railways, Airways, Shipping, Oil & Gas, Power, Real Estate, Smart City development, Skill Development and so on. Therefore, to manage such big projects, project managers are needed. Unfortunately, qualified PMs are less in numbers. Project Management Professional (PMP) certified PMs are even less. Awareness to certified PMP management is still in the nasal stage in India. So prospects are good for PMs in India. More and more organisations are adopting a project orientation as that leads to effective time, cost and deliverable management. The old functional structures are slowly breaking down as more and more organisations are sampling and tasting success through the Project Management Approach. Thus, according to me, the number of jobs that require project management skills or atleast a fundamental skill in working in project teams is going to increase and hence the subject of Project Management is going to see an increased attention span.
