    The PGDM program unarguably adds more value as compared to an MBA program. I did my PGDM from K.J.Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) , Mumbai. An MBA program is offered by an University whereas a PGDM program is offered by B Schools which are approved by AICTE. The PGDM program is constantly updated to keep in tune with the requirements of the industry. An MBA program offers a syllabus which is rarely updated and has no relevance to the current business scenario. The PGDM program offers guaranteed placements whereas an MBA program does not do so.     An MBA is mostly offered by universities while B Schools offer PGDM. Though considered equivalent, for higher education many universities prefer MBA qualifieds.
