You can gain entry into advertising or PR industry by doing MBA in Marketing as advertising and PR are the main components in its syllabus but this is not the only way to get into this industry. It is a very good question with a strong query as the second question: Is it necessary to do an MBA to get a job in an advertising firm? Let me share observations on the second question first:
MBA for a Job in Advertising Firm or Not? Yes, the degree of MBA in Advertising and PR or even in another domain of Advertising and PR related tasks will certainly help. You need to be clear about the purpose of doing the MBA that too from a good place where you get to learn the real Advertising and PR along with proper exposure to Practical Learning in assignments and projects.
Also, the MBA can make you a Senior Candidate approaching the firm.
