Executive MBA will add a lot to your profile, since you are already working. But, if you want just a simple degree and don't have time to spend on studies, then you can go for part time MBA.

Working professionals should always be thinking about how they can improve their skills and performance. Ultimately, this is an internal process, but can be facilitated using tools.

You need to focus on your MBA because after you are done with your MBA, than you have far better options.
  • Working professionals have got some on job experience which helps them understand the concepts well.
I recommend working professionals with at least 2 years of experience should go for executive MBA.
But if your experience is more than 5 years, you can opt for part time MBA but you should have a look on the skills and knowledge that you have acquired in these five years because as a manager, you should have good knowledge of the domain you are working in.
But if you want to switch your career to other streams then please go only for executive MBA.

An executive MBA programme of 1-year is a much better option. There are several top management institutes like IIMs, SP Jain, Great Lakes, Welingkar and ISB-Hyderabad offering executive MBA which can give a boost to the career prospects.

MBA programs can be distinguished between programs that can NOT be studied besides the job and programs that can be studied while working. MBA programs that require all your time and physical presence are called full-time MBA programs. All other MBA programs could be called part-time MBA programs. Funnily, and maybe to confuse potential future MBA students, those part-time MBA programs are not always called part-time MBA programs. Instead, they can be further put into subgroups such as Part-Time MBAs, Executive MBAs (EMBA), Online-MBAs, Distance MBAs, and Blended MBAs.

For a working professional executive MBA is always an added advantage, it adds value to your current standings. Also, executive MBA is recognised by almost all the companies, the case is not the same with part-time companies. While pursuing executive MBA you get to learn from experience of corporate leaders via guest lectures and other mediums.
