The main difference is Maths subject. So in B.Tech biotechnology you will have to learn Maths subject. If your interested and can perform well in Maths though you didn't study it during your 11th and 12th, you can go for it
Buy according to my opinion a PCB student can opt B.Sc. Biotechnology as there will be no involvement of Maths as a subject (only if your not interested in maths)
If you study M.Sc. Biotechnology after B.Sc. Biotechnology, then will have more scope and job opportunities B.Sc. +M.Sc)
If we talk about Job respective then you can opt B.Tech biotechnology as it's a part of engineering you will have lot of scope
    If you only

Depending on their interests and career objectives, both the B.Tech and the B.Sc. In biotechnology can be excellent choices for PCB Physics Chemistry Biology students. The four-year B.Tech. In Biotechnology programme focuses on using engineering concepts and methods to address issues in the biotechnology field. It offers instruction in subjects including genetic engineering, bioprocess engineering, and bioinformatics and incorporates courses in Biology Chemistry engineering, and computer Science. Students who wish to work in research and development, production, or regulatory affairs who are interested in applying engineering principle

B.Tech biotechnology when compared to other branches (such as CS ECE, IT, CE etc. ). really has limited career options, biotechnology is more of a research-oriented field. And having Biology instead of mathematics works as a cherry on the top as it definitely demands more struggle than others. For example, if after your under graduation, you want to pursue Masters from an IIT or a NIT, then one of the major drawbacks is that most of the IITs and NITs asks for mathematics in your senior secondary classes as an eligibility criteria for master in biotechnology. Also, courses in IITs and NITs are more of mathematics-based ( it might prove

Let me start with the Basic difference of B.Tech. & B.Sc. In Bio-Technology domain. B.Sc. Is pure Science (less Practical Labs, less Industry Exposure) while B.Tech is Technology oriented with Industry driven curriculum. B.Tech is a 4 years course while B.Sc. Is a 3 years course. In B.Tech Biotechnology you will learn about other branches of engineering also in & your first year whereas in B.Sc. Biotechnology you will directly learn about your core subjects. Of course you will also get exposure about other Science subjects but your course will have maximum papers from your honours subject only. In B.Tech biotechnology the main

    Hi Anuvrat,
If you really want to go for a Masters in US in biotechnology, then either B.Sc or B.tech would be good. Because, the universities in US will require you to clear TOEFL and their eligibility is that you must have a graduate degree, no matter you did B.Sc or B.Tech.
Please check with your university if it is well affiliated.

Being alumnae from the Biotechnology division itself I can very well vouch of the curriculum, pedagogy and exponential opportunity one gets in B.Tech Biotechnology from LPU no where you can get. I would like to pin few reasons why:-
    1. Here the Research projects are in collaboration with national laboratories of India (NIPGR, New Delhi; CPRI, Shimla; NRCE, Hisar; IIWBR, Karnal; NIEBE, Kapurthala), Live projects for undergraduate students.
    2. You get the opportunity of internship & placement in companies like Biocon Pvt Ltd. , Panacea Biotech, Shanta Biotech, Syngene, Piramal Healthcare, Wockhardt Limited, Reddys Laboratories, Bharat
