Biomedical engineering deals with all the equipment and technology involved in the medical (healthcare) sector. This means you study about equipment like imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI, etc.), intensive care (ventilators, patient monitors, etc.), diagnostic (Pathological test machines), also some therapeutic equipment. In the new curriculum, you learn about hospital management, image processing technology, NISM (networking; especially in hospitals for a large amount of data).
Biotechnology, on the other hand, focuses more on the biological aspect of the human body (read: lots of organic biochemistry stuff). To keep things in perspective, look

Biotechnology is the use of living systems and organisms to develop or make useful products, or "any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use.
Biomedical broadly refers to the application of engineering and technology principles to the domain of living or biological systems.
It is involved in developing innovative biology, materials, processes, implants, devices and informatics approaches for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, for patient rehabilitation, and for improving health.
    Biomedical engineering is mai

The two subject areas do share some similarities and draw from related core fields, but there are also very distinct differences between them. While biotechnology is primarily an applied biological Science that heavily utilizes Chemistry biomedical engineering draws on engineering principles related to Biology and medicine with a distinctly multidisciplinary approach. While biomedical engineering may do the same, it also uses inorganic materials and cutting-edge human-developed technology, and you'll need to have a very strong grasp of mathematics and Physics. It uses organisms, organic systems, and Biology to develop technological sol

The study of the human body for illness prevention and treatment is known as biomedical Science. The "what, " "how, " and "why" of the human body are examined in this discipline. Contrarily, biotechnology is the genetic modification of living things to produce new goods and technologies. If biotechnology is your chosen field, you will study a wide range of topics centered on bio-scientific knowledge, concepts, and technologies. Students of biomedical Science, however, will concentrate more on the aspect of medicine and healthcare. You should be better able to select the degree that would be the greatest fit for you now that you have mo

    Hey,
I am from biotechnology engineering basically. You should know the difference between them which is as follows:
Biomedical engineering (BME) is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes (e.g. diagnostic or therapeutic).
Biotechnology engineering is the study, research and development of bio-organism, micro-organism and cell functions in living beings. The course combines engineering with other subjects like chemistry, genetics, biochemistry and microbiology. Now, we also have bioinformatics instrumentation engineering, etc., which are also the core subjects of biotec

Let's see the difference between two courses name biomedical and biotechnology:
Biomedical engineering is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes (e.g. diagnostic or therapeutic). This field seeks to close the gap between engineering and medicine, combining the design and problem-solving skills of engineering with medical biological sciences to advance health care treatment, including diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy. Biomedical engineering has only recently emerged as its own study, as compared to many other engineering fields.
Biotechnology is the use of living sy

Biotechnology is a much more and complex discipline which includes technological application using biological systems, living organisms, their derivatives to make or modify products. Production of disease resistant enhance crops, gene therapy, genetic screening and enzymes for industrial catalyst are some of the application of biotechnology. Also pollution control, mining, energy production, forestry and aquaculture comes under biotechnology application.
On the other hand, biomedical is all about applying engineering principles and design concept to manufacture medicine. This field is influenced by electronics, biomaterials, by instrum

    Biotechnology:
The areas of study and subjects covered under this are mainly molecular cell biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, systems biology and statistics which introduce students to the fundamental concepts of modern biology, including cell biology, experimental techniques and data handling, genomics and proteomics. The student will have to understand basics of traditional engineering disciplines and biology to solve problems encountered in the healthcare.
    Biomedical engineering:
The main focus of the study is to develop innovative techniques in biology, materials, processes, implants, devices and informatics approaches so as to h

    Hi ,
That is a very interesting question. To make it understand, I will divide the two terms into simpler terms
    1. Biotechnology which is made up of biology and technology which means the technology which can be applied to the biological problems. Biotechnology is all about the alterations in the molecular dynamics of the living systems like proteins (enzymes), carbohydrates, nucleic acids (DNA and RNA). The study includes the subjects like recombinant DNA technology, animal and plant biotechnology which deals with the alterations in DNA of individuals to form something useful for the society. The Biotechnological solutions are provided
